Ceftriaxone

Dosage:-
Meningitis: Adults: 4gm. i.v. intially followed by 2gm. i.v. once daily for 10 days or 72 hours after fever abates.
children: 75-100mg./ kg. body weight for
7-9 days
typhoid: Adults: 4gm. daily for 2 days followed by 2 gm. daily for 2 days
children: 75 mg./ kg. body weight for 7 days
